FREE ENTRY OPPORTUNITY

Arts Council England, South East, in partnership with a range of Brighton-based and regional organisations, is offering free entry to the Creative Clusters Conference in Brighton to a small number of creative practitioners from the South East region.
The main conference programme will be taking place on 29/30th April 2004 and associated showcase events will be taking place from the 28th April to the 1st May.
Creative Clusters is a major national and international conference providing networking and knowledge sharing for people working in the development of creative and cultural industries (CCI). Arts Council England, South East would like to ensure that the perspectives and voices of the region’s artists are represented in the conference’s many diverse discussions and debates.

They are looking for experienced and articulate individuals from a variety of art forms to attend. Themes and presentations for the conference will be policy and case study-driven, so applicants for these funded places should be familiar with CCI debates or have an entrepreneurial aspect to their work.
Conference fees, along with travel and accommodation expenses (if appropriate), will be covered. After the event we would like funded attendees to provide a short summary of their experience and opinion of the conference. We also hope to arrange a feedback and discussion session for the selected participants.
For further details about the conference and programme please go to the Creative Cluster website at www.creativeclusters.co.uk

If you are interested in applying please send a short proposal (max. 250 words) detailing why you would like to attend the conference, with a work or practice CV by 5 March 2004 to:
Felicity Scanlon
Assistant Officer, Resource Development
