Jennie Rickets represents the work of International Photographers. After working with photography over the years for an internationally acclaimed supplement
she realised the photography most believed to be collectable was not always that which the general public wanted to collect.
"The images I received the most enquiries about at the magazine were not always those most rated by the photographic
market. For this reason there is a variety of desirable work by talented photographers that is often unseen.
With this in mind I wanted to address this disparity. The photography I have selected to represent is for that great
section of potential collectors who have perhaps not been catered for to date. Also those who would like the
opportunity to possess a genuine piece of contemporary photographic art by international photographers that could
become a family heir loom".

FRIESE GREENE HOUSE RENOVATIONS
The next phase of the work to improve the entrance to Friese-Greene House is under way, as you may have
noticed. The ramp for improved deliveries and DDA disabled access is in place, and the new surface is going
to be fitted on Monday. Once that is in place, the new main entrance doors will be custom-made and fitted
to the central opening, and the necessary other work such as ventilation ducting, lighting will be carried
out. The phasing of all these works is being done in such a way as to maintain safe access for everyone,
and to minimise the impact on client companies. By next month we expect to be working on the
front Reception Point!
SMILE - YOU'RE ON CCTV AT FRIESE-GREENE HOUSE!
Due to the occasional security problem at BMC, it has been decided that we will install CCTV in the BMC buildings.
The incidents we hope to resolve are:
a) mainly those of unwanted individuals who may be "tailgating" or otherwise gaining access to the building,
with a view to stealing property from within the building. The fact that they are under surveillance should provide
a strong deterrent to such activity (which is very infrequent already, thanks to the vigilance of clients as well as staff).
b) a second benefit will be that having a record of comings and goings will quickly resolve any awkward situations
where e.g. someone has set off an alarm causing a call-out from our security company, and the circumstances around
the incident can be made clear, whether there has been an intruder or not, and a fair decision made as to any
responsibility to pay the charges.
Our Technical department have put in a considerable amount of research into the best way to achieve this, and a
trial is under way in Friese-Greene House entrance. This is looking very successful, so we hope to shortly
install more CCTV security cameras in the other BMC buildings shortly. The information will be recorded on a hard
disc, and erased after a week unless there has been an incident, in which case a copy of that time period will
be made. Should anyone become aware that there has been an intruder, it should now be possible for us to get some
detail of the person, which will be of real value to the police.
We hope that this will mean even more peace of mind for our clients, in addition to the already high level of security
BMC provide. The deterrent factor of being "on camera" should be great enough to prevent the opportunist type of
criminal from trying their unwanted activities out on us.

"CONGRATULATIONS" TO WILL FROM NIXON MCINNES
|
Congratulations to Will and his wife Karen McInnes who gave birth to a bouncing baby boy named
Jack John McInnes weighing in at a healthy 81b 7oz.
Both mother and baby are doing well although Karen is said to be quite exhausted from Jacks
constant guzzling. He has shot up to 91b 12oz in the first 2 weeks defying all expectations
that babies loose 10% of their body weight in their first week.
