This Tech Track 100 ranks Britian's fastest-growing unquoted technology companies. The final 100 in the league table were ranked by growth in sales over two years between 2000 and 2002. In November this year, Richard Newton of WPB Events, will be taking part in the UNISON Sponsored Cyle Ride accross New Zealand. His route will cover a total of 345km, coast to coast across the South Island and will take a total of six days. Richard will be putting in an enormous effort to complete this challenge and to raise a substantial amount of money for the charities he is supporting. Thanks to the generosity of UNISON Holiday Club, every penny Richard raises in sponsorship will go to the charities - not one penny will be used to subsidise his participation. The charities that will benefit for the sponsorship are UNISON Welfare, Community H.E.A.R.T and The National Deaf Children's society. If you feel you are able to help with sponsorship please contact Richard Newton on 01273 648390 or email Richard SKILL SWAP ...................................................................................... Skill Swap offers free new media training and will be holding their next event on Mon 6th Oct entitled Design Process - Evolution of the Wireframe. Richard Rutter will be discussing the importance and practicalities of design process; how focussed documentation protects and aids both client and developers. In particular Richard will show how the wireframe (AKA storyboard or blueprint) should be the centre of this documentation. If you are interested in regestering for this event, or would like more details on future short courses please visit skillswap.brightonnewmedia.org LEARN SOMETHING USEFUL! ...................................................................................... We would like to organise some training events to be held at BMC. If there is enough interest, we aim to run CACDP Stage 1 British Sign Language course soon. The course will be run by Sign Club who feel strongly that adults should be taught by a well qualified Deaf tutor. If you are interested in participating in this coures, please email Emily and indicate that you will like to take part. Final details and dates will be arranged if enough people express an interest. Also on the agenda is a First Aid course. It is a legal obligation on every employer to ensure that their employees recieve the right First Aid care in the workplace. First Aid provision can prevent minor problems or injuries from becoming major ones. We would like to organise a First Aid at Work course to be held at BMC. Please express your interest in participating by email to Emily and again, if there is enough interest then final dates and details will be arranged. If you would like more details please contact Emily by email or on 01273 201371.
