Introduction to Studio Lighting

Course Description
This is a hands-on course for people with some experience in photography who would like to learn to get the best from studio lighting set ups. You will not only learn how to use key lighting techniques but also how to apply these techniques to portraiture and still life using Studio Flash and Tungsten lights.
Equipment
You will need to bring your own Digital SLR (please ensure that it can take a pc sync or hotshoe sync). Preferably you should also have good access to a version of Adobe Photoshop. Studio and lighting accessories will be provided.

- How to set up basic lighting rigs for and product shots

Working with Models and Portraiture;
- Single model portrait sessions
- Mood lighting
- Posing/composition
- Basics of make-up and styling

| Week 4 |
Working with Models and Portraiture;
- Multi-model portrait sessions social/bands
- The drama of light
- Mixed lighting techniques

| Week 5 |
Working with Green Screen;
- Introduction to working with Green Screens for digital photography
- Efficient working practices
- Portfolio Review of work covered
