ADVENTURES IN HOMOSEXUALITY AND OTHER SOCIAL DISEASES

17 May – 20 May
Brighton Media Centre Studio, 8pm – 9pm
£5/£4

“Adventures...” is written and performed by Jon Sheehan and Phil Byrne.

This is their first collaboration after meeting on a stand-up comedy course in London 18 months ago. The main thread of the narrative is the chain of events prompted by an unexpected homosexual approach on Jon Sheehan at a party, with additional material from other unexpected and comedic events from the lives of Jon and Phil.
This will be their first experience of the Brighton Fringe.

Jon: “To be honest the idea for this show came out of drunken discussions of all the disastrous events that we’d had in our lives. Both of us had a history of being sacked from jobs. My first ever job I got sacked from. That was McDonalds.”
Phil: “Yeah, and then there was almost a competition to reveal the weirdest sexual encounters.”
Jon: “True. Phil thought he’d won with snogging a lady-boy on a Thailand beach after she’d been headlining a dance show.”
Jon: “But then Jon revealed how he’d been touched up at a party by a male friend who had always been straight.”
Phil: “And what that led onto. An attitude of ‘well, I’m nearly 30, let’s see what happens’ I suppose.”
Phil: “And what did that lead onto?”
Jon: “Err... a hilarious comedy show of course!”
